Stephanie Wood

Stephanie Wood is an emerging contemporary artist whose work explores the emotional aspects of the human experience. She focuses on themes like motherhood, transformation, and the hero's journey. Wood produces paintings that blur the lines between reality and abstraction. Her figures feel ancient and modern, making them universally relatable. They invite viewers to find their own stories in each piece. Her practice is grounded in the idea that creativity reconnects us with ourselves and others.

Before dedicating herself entirely to painting, Wood spent more than a decade exploring contemplative and spiritual practices, including becoming a Reiki Master. Although she no longer practices these, they shaped her appreciation for symbolism, intuition, and the transformative power of ritual, which she now incorporates into her artwork.

In addition to her original paintings, she hosts events that emerged naturally from her experiences as an entrepreneur, energy healer, and her two-year apprenticeship with Deborah Hanekamp.

Wood’s immersive experiences foster curiosity, reflection, and genuine human connection.

Currently located in Virginia near the Blue Ridge Mountains, Wood continues to create art that highlights how art can both inspire us individually and unify us as a community.
